Kuzma Skriabin
Kuzma Skriabin is the nickname
of famous musician Andrii Kuzmenko. He founded a musical band, which later
transformed into Skriabin, in1989.
They released their first
album in 1992.
In 1995 the group became
popular and released the first album on CD.
1996-1997 were the years of
the highest peak of the popularity of Scriabin.
Two videos for their songs led
the charts at that period.
The most significant event of
1997 was the first recital of the band in Kyiv. In 2000s the band changed its
style. They changed the members of the group as well. Then a new period in
their history started.
Until 2015 Scriabin had
released 20 albums and gave plenty of concerts.
On the 2nd of
February, 2015 Kuzma died in a car accident. That was the tragedy for his
family, friends and numerous fans. People gathered in the squares of big cities
to hold meeting in honour of the favourite musician.
On the 20th of May, 2015 a concert in honour of Kuzma was
held in Kyiv. More than 10 thousand people attended the event.
The most famous Ukrainian
musicians and other representatives of show business took part in the concert.
Nowadays in many cities people
organize memorials to commemorate the outstanding musician.
